Part of being sober includes finding new ways to celebrate holidays. Part of being a sober veteran means having a backup plan when patriotic holiday celebrations include alcohol.
Here at Sober Vet Coffee, we decided to celebrate America’s birthday with the gift of a new roaster! We traveled to Northumberland, where we met with Aillio to try out their Bullet roaster. A huge thanks to Martin, Connor, and the whole staff, who took a lot of time to show us this beauty!
While away, we also visited Bamburgh Castle, the home of the real Uhtred the Bold (The Last Kingdom fans will understand the joy)!
We celebrated America as a family, enjoying the privileges of being an American, an Airman living overseas, and sobriety for another day.
